Going to swap my summer tires for winter tires myself this weekend. Have the basic jack and lug wrench. Any tips to avoid common mistakes? Also, do I need to torque the lug nuts a certain way? Thanks!

Definitely use a torque wrench if you can borrow one. Lug nuts need to be tightened in a star pattern to avoid warping the rim.

Don’t forget to check tire pressure after mounting and again after a day or two.
