Garage door stuck halfway open in freezing Montreal weather

My automatic garage door won’t open fully; it stops halfway and reverses. This started after a night with -20C temps here in Montreal. I checked the sensors and the tracks don’t seem blocked. Could the cold be causing this? Any tips on what to check or how to fix it before calling a repair guy?

Cold can cause the tracks or opener mechanism to freeze or stiffen up. Try warming the tracks with a hairdryer.

Make sure the safety sensors are aligned and clean, especially if ice formed on them.
