Found a 2015 Honda Civic LX with 90k km listed for $11,500 on Kijiji. Seller says it was regularly serviced at Honda dealership. Planning a private sale transfer myself. Should I get a pre-purchase inspection? Heard mixed reviews about local mechanics. Also, does anyone know if insurance rates jump significantly for a 2015 model in the GTA? Thanks!

Definitely get a pre-purchase inspection from a reputable garage, even if the seller claims good maintenance. I used The Auto House in Mississauga and they were thorough.

Insurance usually isn’t too bad on a 2015 Civic, but depends on your driver profile. I pay about $110/month for liability + collision with TD Insurance.

Did you check if the vehicle has an active lien? You can do a PPSA search online for a few dollars.
