Oil Change Interval for 2010 Jeep Wrangler in Calgary?

Noah Grant · · 3 replies

Hi all, got a 2010 Jeep Wrangler with about 150,000 km. I usually hear 5,000 km or 6 months recommended for oil changes, but Jeep service manual mentions 8,000 km for synthetic. Given Calgary’s dry but dusty environment, should I stick with 5,000 km? Also, any oil brand suggestions that fit Jeep requirements?

I’d go with 5,000 km just to be safe, especially with dust.

Look for oils meeting Chrysler MS-6395 spec; Pennzoil and Valvoline have good ones.

Don’t forget to check oil level monthly, dust can make engine work harder.
