Advice on patching drywall after removing wall shelves?
Ethan Lee · · 3 replies
Removed some old shelves in my Calgary living room, now I’ve got about 8 screw holes plus a few dents. What’s the easiest fix that doesn’t require a full skim? I’m thinking spackling and sanding but worried about texture matching.

Use lightweight spackle for small holes, sand smooth, then apply a matching wall paint or a light texture spray from Canadian Tire.

If your wall has knockdown texture, grab a texture patch spray at Home Depot; it saved me a lot of time!

How big are the holes? For larger ones, drywall tape and compound might be needed.
