Streaming Wars: Is Traditional Cable TV Dead?

With all the buzz around streaming services these days, one has to wonder: is traditional cable TV finally on its deathbed? I mean, just take a look at platforms like Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu—each year, they seem to pull in more subscribers while cable companies are scrambling to keep up. I used to have a hefty cable package, but I ditched it for a few streaming subscriptions and honestly, I don't miss it at all.
But let's dive deeper here. Sure, streaming offers convenience and often lower monthly costs, but what about the hidden fees and the endless search for content? Not to mention, some of us still enjoy live sports or certain shows that just don’t stream as well. And don't get me started on how quickly some of those services rotate their content.
So, are we really ready to say goodbye to cable? Or do some of you still find value in traditional TV? What do you think—are we better off without cable?

Totally agree with you! It feels like cable is hanging on by a thread. I mean, my sister just got rid of her cable and switched to streaming, and now she has way more options and spends way less. Plus, it’s super easy to binge-watch everything!
But here's the kicker, I found an old box of DVDs while cleaning out my closet the other day. There was a time when it felt like everyone had a massive DVD collection. I think it would be fun to host a retro movie night with those! Anyone else have any old-school viewing traditions they still love?
