Dryer runs but no heat – Panasonic model, Ottawa

My Panasonic dryer in Ottawa is tumbling but no heat at all. It’s a gas dryer, about 8 years old. I replaced the igniter last year. Could it be the thermal fuse? Anyone know where to get parts locally? Home Depot and Canadian Tire seem to have limited stock.

Thermal fuses blow fairly often. You can order parts from PartSource in Ottawa, they often have them in-store.

Try checking the vent hose for blockages too, it can cause heating problems.

If you’re handy, replacing the thermal fuse is straightforward and cheap.
