Pros/cons of using peel-and-stick backsplash tiles in Toronto condo kitchen?

Thinking of upgrading my Toronto condo kitchen backsplash with peel-and-stick tiles from Home Depot. They’re pretty affordable at around $30/sq ft compared to ceramic tiles. Has anyone tried them? Do they hold up well against heat and moisture? Or will I regret not going for traditional tiles?

Peel-and-stick are easy and cheap but might start peeling after a couple years, especially near stove or sink.

I used them last year and they look great so far, but I avoid spraying water directly.

If you rent or want a quick update, peel-and-stick is great. Otherwise, ceramic is more durable.
