How to remove old wallpaper without damaging drywall?

Inherited a room in my Ottawa house with old wallpaper glued on. Trying to peel it off but the drywall underneath seems fragile. What’s the best way to safely remove wallpaper without ruining drywall? Steam? Chemicals?

I used a steamer from Canadian Tire and it worked well, just be patient and gentle to avoid tearing drywall.

Scoring the wallpaper lightly before steaming helps the solution penetrate.
