Frozen pipes in Ottawa basement, quick fix ideas?

Hey all, woke up to a burst pipe in my basement here in Ottawa. Temps dropped to -25C overnight. Already shut off the main valve but wondering if there's a fast way to thaw pipes without calling a pro (yet). Got a heat gun but worried about safety. Any tips? Thanks!

Try wrapping the pipe with towels soaked in hot water, works well without risk.

Careful with heat guns, they can damage PVC. A space heater nearby might help.

Did you check for insulation gaps in your basement walls? Could prevent this next time.
