Can a flat repaired tire still be used for snow and ice driving in Quebec?

I had to get a flat fixed in my winter tire last season in Quebec City. The shop said the patch was good for winter use. Should I trust that tire on icy roads, or is it better to replace? Looking for real life experience here!

If the repair was done properly (plug plus patch from inside), your tire should be good for winter use.

I drive on patched winter tires every season and haven’t had issues unless the damage was on the sidewall.

If you feel any vibration or notice loss of pressure, then consider replacing. Otherwise, it’s safe.
