Condensation building up inside new vinyl windows, normal?

Nicole Grant · · 3 replies

I just had new vinyl windows installed in my Vancouver condo two months ago. Noticed some condensation forming between the panes in one window. Installer says it might be sealed wrong or a manufacturing defect. Anyone else experienced this? Does it mean I need a replacement or can it be fixed?

Condensation between panes usually means a broken seal. Unfortunately, the window will likely need replacement.

Check if your windows have a good warranty. Many manufacturers cover seal failure for several years.

Sometimes a professional can remove condensation, but it’s usually temporary.
