Cost savings tips when renovating a Kingston home?
Nicole Taylor · · 3 replies
Moving into a 1950s house in Kingston, planning a full renovation including new flooring, drywall, and kitchen update. I’m trying to keep the budget tight at around 40k CAD. Any local suppliers with good deals or ways to save without compromising quality? Also open to tools I should buy for DIY work.

Check out local Habitat for Humanity ReStore for discounted building materials and fixtures.

Canadian Tire has decent deals on tools, and if you have time, renting some power tools saves money since you only use them occasionally.

Sometimes local lumber yards have sales or clearance on hardwood flooring. Keep an eye out!
