Thoughts on smart soundbars vs. full AV receiver & speaker setup in small Toronto apartment

I’m debating between getting a smart soundbar like the Sonos Beam Gen 2 or a basic AV receiver with separate speakers for my small 500 sq ft Toronto apartment. I want decent sound but minimal wires and setup hassle. Anyone making the same choice?

Soundbars are great for small apartments and easy setup, but AV receiver + speakers beats sound quality hands down.

If you don’t want wires everywhere, go with Sonos or similar wireless speakers.

I had a full setup but downsized to a soundbar when moving downtown. Worth it for the space saved.
