Bathroom toilet leak: water pooling under toilet base, thoughts?

So I noticed water pooling around the base of my toilet in Vancouver, especially after it’s been flushed a few times. Looks like the wax ring might be failing? Anyone tackled this themselves? I’m debating buying a new wax ring kit from Canadian Tire (about $20) and trying a DIY fix vs calling a plumber (quoted $150 minimum).

Yep, sounds like the wax ring. It’s not too hard if you’re handy. Just be sure to turn off water and have a towel ready.

If it’s an older toilet, consider replacing the whole thing. Low-flow models save water and might be worth the investment.

I had the same issue last month. Tried DIY but ended up calling a plumber. They also resealed the flange which helped prevent future leaks.
