Heating options for a newly finished basement in Winnipeg?

Finishing my basement in Winnipeg and wondering about heating options. We already have forced air upstairs. Should I just extend vents downstairs or consider something like electric baseboards or in-floor heating? Budget is moderate, around 5k for heating upgrades. Thanks!

Extending your forced air system is usually the easiest and cheapest if ductwork allows it.

In-floor heating feels great in basements but can get pricey, especially with Winnipeg’s cold winters.

Electric baseboards can be a good zone heating option if you don’t want to mess with ducts.
