Hey folks! With this ongoing heat wave in Los Angeles, I’m considering upgrading my AC unit to something more energy-efficient. I want a model that can keep up with our crazy summer temps without skyrocketing my electric bill. What's everyone using? Upgrading to an energy-efficient AC unit sounds great, but have you considered the long-term costs? Some of those units can have high upfront prices, and while they might save you on your electric bill, maintenance and repair costs can sneak up on you too. Plus, if your insulation or windows are outdated, that efficiency might be wasted. Make sure you’re not just swapping out the unit without addressing the whole system. Have you looked at the total cost of ownership over time?
