Furnace filter replacement frequency in snowy Edmonton winters?

Hey Edmonton folks, how often do you change furnace filters during the heavy winter months? I’ve been changing mine every three months but my heater runs non-stop these days. Thinking I should change it more often but don’t want to waste filters.

Every 1-2 months during winter here, dirt buildup reduces airflow quickly.

If you have pets, change even more often. Better to keep system efficient.

Check filter monthly and if it looks clogged, swap it regardless of schedule.
