Is ceramic tint worth it in cold Canadian winters like Ottawa's?

I'm thinking about getting my windows tinted with ceramic tint but worried about how it holds up during brutal winters here in Ottawa. Anyone with experience? Also, does ceramic tint help with interior heat retention in winter or just prevent heat in summer? Looking at a budget of around CAD $300-$400 for my sedan.

Ceramic tint definitely helps block heat in summer but also provides UV protection year-round. It doesn’t keep your car warmer in winter though.

I got ceramic tint last year in Toronto, survived the winter fine. No peeling or bubbles so far.

If you're worried about heat retention in winter, consider aftermarket insulated window shades instead.
