I've been seeing a lot of posts about DIY landscaping ideas, and it got me thinking: are they really worth it? Sure, you can save a ton of cash compared to hiring professionals, but are you actually saving in the long run?
I've tried my hand at a couple of simple projects, like planting a garden and laying down some stone paths, but I quickly realized that the time it takes to plan, prep, and execute can really add up — not to mention the hidden costs of soil quality, plants that don't thrive, and tools you might need to buy.
Plus, there's always the risk of doing it wrong and having to redo everything. On the other hand, I see many people proud of their DIY landscapes. So, I'm curious: how many of you have tackled your own landscaping, and what was your experience? Do the pros outweigh the cons, or is it a bit of a trap? What do you think — go DIY or hire a pro?
