Deck staining: recommended products for Montreal humidity?

Planning to refinish my wooden deck this summer in Montreal. The humidity here causes a lot of mold and mildew. What stain or sealant brands have worked well for you? I’m aiming for something long-lasting and mold-resistant but also not crazy expensive (budget around $150 for supplies).

I used Cabot Australian Timber Oil last year, and it held up great against mold and rain.

Make sure you power wash the deck first and let it dry at least 48 hours before applying stain.

Check Canadian Tire or Home Depot for samples – some brands even have mildew inhibitors in the formula.
