PPF on front bumper of a 2020 Hyundai Tucson — DIY or pro install?

Thinking of putting paint protection film on the front bumper of my 2020 Tucson to fend off rock chips during winter in Calgary. Has anyone tried DIY PPF kits from Amazon or Canadian Tire vs going to a professional? My budget is around CAD $200. Is it worth the risk of messing it up on my own car?

I did a DIY kit on my front bumper last year, took a couple hours and a lot of patience. It’s doable but professional looks cleaner.

At that budget, you might only get a partial coverage pro install. DIY kits often come with everything you need but quality varies.

If you have access to a local detailer, sometimes they have last-minute deals that can get you pro quality for around $300.
