Speaker wire gauge for 20ft run to outdoor speakers in Toronto backyard?

Planning to install outdoor speakers for my backyard patio in Toronto. Distance from amplifier to speakers is about 20 ft each. Should I go with 16 or 14 gauge wire? Also, any recommendations on weatherproof speaker brands? Thanks!

14 gauge is better for preserving sound quality over 20 feet, especially outdoors.

I installed Bose 251s last summer, weatherproof and haven’t had issues with rain or snow.

Make sure to bury cables or use conduit to protect from lawnmowers and critters.
