My bathroom caulking around the tub in Montreal has gotten moldy and gross even after cleaning. Thinking of removing all old caulk and redoing it. What’s the best way to remove old silicone caulk without damaging the tiles? Also, which mold-resistant caulk should I get? Planning to pick up supplies from Canadian Tire.

Use a caulk remover gel, it softens the silicone so you can scrape it off more easily. I got mine at Home Depot.

For mold-resistant caulk, look for 100% silicone bathroom caulk with anti-mold properties. It lasts longer.

If the tiles are delicate, use a plastic scraper to avoid scratches.
