Best affordable weatherstripping for drafty front door in Winnipeg?
Rachel Taylor · · 3 replies
Hey all, my front door is super drafty and with Winnipeg winters, my heating bill is through the roof. I checked Home Depot and Canadian Tire for weatherstripping but it’s a bit overwhelming with all the options. Anyone found an effective but affordable solution? Ideally something DIY-friendly as I’m not a pro. Thanks!

I used the foam tape from Home Depot for my back door last winter. Was about $10 and cut down drafts a lot. Just make sure the door still closes tight.

Have you tried a door sweep? I installed one in Toronto last year and it made a big difference. They’re about $15-$20 at Lowe's or HD.

What kind of door is it? Wood, metal? Weatherstripping types vary a bit.
