Noise from my Maytag washer only during spin cycle

My Maytag front loader makes a loud squealing noise only when it hits the spin cycle. I’m in Toronto, and the washer is about 6 years old. It doesn’t seem to affect washing or spinning speed, but the noise is pretty annoying. Should I just replace the bearings or call a pro? Anyone faced this?

I had the same issue, it was a worn-out belt. Easy fix if you’re comfortable opening it up.

Check the drum for any small objects stuck. Sometimes coins cause weird noises.

If it’s squealing, the bearings could be shot. Might be cheaper to get a repair quote first.
