Waxing frequency for a truck driven mostly in Toronto winter?

I own a 2017 Ram 1500 and drive it daily through Toronto winters with lots of salt and slush. How often should I wax it to protect the paint? I usually do a full wash once a week. Planning to use a synthetic wax from Costco priced around $35. Would monthly waxing be overkill?

Monthly is actually smart during winter. The salt eats paint, and the wax gives a protective layer.

Synthetic waxes typically last longer than natural ones, so every 6 weeks could be enough too.

Make sure to wash off salt thoroughly before waxing, or the wax won’t stick well.
