Duct cleaning experience in Calgary - was it worth the $450?

Had my ducts cleaned by a local Calgary company for $450 CAD last week. They spent about 3 hours, vacuumed, cleaned vents, and said there was a lot of dust buildup. The air does feel fresher but I’m not sure if that just placebo. Any thoughts on how often to get this done or if this price was fair? They also sprayed an anti-mold solution for an extra $70 that I skipped.

Sounds typical price. I do mine every 5 years and notice less dust settling inside after.

Don’t bother with anti-mold sprays unless you have visible mold or moisture issues, it’s usually a waste.

Try changing your furnace filter more often to keep dust down; that’s the easiest maintenance.
