Central AC running but blower not cooling, Edmonton home, any ideas?

I live in Edmonton, Alberta, and noticed my central AC's blower is running but the air coming out isn’t cold anymore. It’s an older Goodman unit, about 12 years old. The thermostat shows cooling mode, but the air feels just room temp. I replaced the filters last month and cleaned the vents. Could it be refrigerant related? Noticed a slight hissing noise outside near the compressor. Should I call a tech or try to recover and recharge refrigerant myself?

Sounds like a refrigerant leak, especially with the hissing noise. Definitely call a pro; handling refrigerant without certification is illegal in Canada.

Did you check the outdoor unit fan? Sometimes it stops spinning and that affects cooling even if the blower runs inside.

Also, check if the condenser coils outside are dirty or blocked by snow/dirt. That can cause poor cooling performance.
