Fridge frost buildup in freezer, stops cooling properly, Edmonton home

My fridge freezer in Edmonton has frost buildup on the back panel, and now the fridge isn’t staying cool. It’s a Frigidaire from 2017. I tried defrosting manually but it comes back fast. Could it be the defrost timer or heater?

Sounds like a defrost system problem. Could be timer, heater, or thermostat.

Try unplugging it for 24 hours to fully defrost and then see if it does it again.

If it recurs quickly, you might need a pro to fix the defrost components.
