Replacing range hood filters: how often and what type for Broan in Calgary?

I have a Broan range hood in Calgary that uses metal mesh filters. How often do you guys replace or clean these? Should I buy replacements from Broan’s website or local stores? It’s been about a year since I moved in and the filters look greasy.

Metal mesh filters can be cleaned every few months with hot soapy water, no need to replace often.

I replace mine every 2-3 years or if damaged. Broan filters can be bought from Home Depot or directly online.

Just run them through the dishwasher occasionally to keep them grease-free.
